Guarantee Girls Offers First Free House Cleaning for Women Undergoing Cancer Treatment Guarantee Girls Home Cleaning Service is the Louisiana first Charter Member of Cleaning for a Reason Foundation. Maid Services throughout the United States have cleaned more than 1800 homes for women suffering with cancer, as part of Cleaning for a Reason Foundation. Cleaning for a Reason is the nation’s first non-profit organization dedicated to providing free or subsidized house cleaning services for women undergoing cancer treatment. Ellen Folks, founder of Guarantee Girls, says, “People struggling with cancer have better things to worry about other than cleaning their homes, and I thought this was the perfect opportunity to give back to the community.” Folks said when she discovered Cleaning for a Reason Foundation, she knew this is how she could give back to so many more women who are struggling and suffering with cancer. Debbie Sardone, Founder of Cleaning for a Reason Foundation, said, “Maid services have been doing this in small ways for years. Our members, such as Ellen Folks, have had a hard time turning down a woman who needs her house cleaned when she is battling cancer and cannot afford a maid service. I decided to form a foundation so that we could extend support across the entire country.” Guarantee Girls is one of the first 30 charter members of the Foundation. The monthly pledges from individual maid services help fund the Foundation’s administrative expenses, while consumer donations are earmarked entirely for cleaning homes for women with cancer. “We are proud of our efforts in Baton Rouge to support women who are struggling to win their fight with cancer. It’s great to know that our cleaning service helps with keeping a healthy home for these brave women,” said Ellen Folks.
